What if Ariel was black! I know there is suppose to be a new remake of The Little Mermaid which is going to have a black mermaid!

Which I'm super excited for!

Though, as a child one of the many stories my grandmother would tell would be the story of "Mami Water" in which the mermaid is seen more like a siren who eats humans when they run into them. She was dark and beautiful, strong and majestic and her powerful tail could speed across the water in mounting speeds. If you get a chance look up the stores of "Mami Water" the African version of the infamous mermaid tale. It's sure to be a good read!
